L-STAR

(L-STAR) is a national fundraising initiative that runs in conjunction with law school on-campus interviewing (OCI) programs. If a law student stays with family or friends instead of in a hotel during a callback interview, the interviewing law firm(s) agrees to donate $215 to that student's public interest funding organization.

Chair Welcome

Student Funded Fellowships is a proud Michigan Law tradition dating back to 1978, when our first Board funded four students.  It has grown into an organization that is a leader among law school summer funding groups nationwide; from the L-STAR program we created to the leadership and guidance given to similar groups at other law schools, SFF is truly indicative of the passion and sense of community that defines Michigan Law.  On behalf of the current Board, it is with great pride and heartfelt dedication that we welcome you to learn more about our organization.
