L-STAR

(L-STAR) is a national fundraising initiative that runs in conjunction with law school on-campus interviewing (OCI) programs. If a law student stays with family or friends instead of in a hotel during a callback interview, the interviewing law firm(s) agrees to donate $215 to that student's public interest funding organization.

Donate-A-Days-Pay (DADP)


Each year, dozens of SFF recipients receive fellowships in order to fund a wide variety of public interest work.  Some continue on that path during that second summer, but others may choose to work in private firms. 

One of the critical requirements of receiving an SFF grant is that recipients who go on to work in firms the next summer give back to their fellow students.  As such, we require any recipient working in a firm during their 2L summer to donate a full day of after-tax pay to SFF in order to help further fund public interest work at the law school.

Non-recipients (and recipients working in paid public interest or government work) are also welcome to participate; there is no requirement for them to do so.
