The Symposium’s On-line Public Forum will offer internet users across the world the opportunity to interact with invited speakers and other attendees. The forum will consist of one (or more) discussion groups, where anyone can post comments or reply to other participants' comments. These comments and replies will be listed in an orderly fashion, very similar to the style utilized by usenet newsgroups.

In addition to encouraging the general public to take advantage of the forum, we will also invite some of the Symposium's speakers to participate as well. By doing so, we hope to stimulate discussions between speakers, attendees, and internet participants.

Finally, we tentatively plan to integrate this forum with audio webcasts of events. Internet users would be able to listen to each event as it occurred, and post questions on the forum. The result would be a real-time question and answer session spanning the entire internet.

Technical Details

The necessary software for the forum has already been implemented and tested. We are in the process of incorporating the program into this page. If everything goes as planned, the forum will become active within the next few days, possibly by Tuesday, February 18. We recommend that you check this page again on that date.
