Environmental Job-Search Resources:

* Find many of the major environmental organizations and governmental agencies that hire legal interns in the ELS jobs database

* Look at where Michigan students have recently spent their summers in the Office of Career Services’ Student Summer Employment List – and contact those who have worked for organizations you’re interested in.

* Search (tip: for organizations, not job listings) in PSLawNet, the National Association for Law Placement’s (NALP) Public Service Law Network

* Make an appointment to meet with Mary Ann Sarosi in the Office of Public Service and browse their Student Career Toolkit

* Make an appointment to meet with a Counselor in the Office of Career Services and browse their Student Career Toolkit

Resources Especially for 2Ls and 3Ls:

Public Interest Jobs Fairs (the Organization of Public Interest Students (OPIS) may be able to reimburse some of your travel and registration costs)

o Equal Justice Works Career Fair, held in Washington, DC; held in early October, deadlines in September

o Midwest Public Interest Law Career Conference (MPILCC), sponsored by the Chicago Area Law School Consortium and Northwestern School of Law; held in February

o Public Interest Legal Career Fair, sponsored by the Public Interest Law Center (PILC) at NYU School of Law; held in early February, registration opens in October

o Northwest Public Service Career Fair; held in February, registration opens in October; you may have to contact them to see if open to Michigan students

Fellowships for post-graduation work with non-profits (more to come!)
