Windows Media Streaming Workarounds
Windows Media streams protect content from being downloaded but do not work on every PC or Mac platform. If you are experiencing difficulties with streaming media, here are several options that may help you access the media.
- Newer Macintosh computers can be configured with the option of booting into Windows, then use Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player to listen to the files, which should alleviate any problems caused by the Windows Media Server server not being compatible with Macs.
- Use a Law School computer lab Windows-based computer with head phones.
- Use a friend or housemates Windows-based computer.
- Windows Media Audio Streaming (from our Windows Media Server) works best with Internet Explorer on a PC with Windows Media Player. Other platforms may work also. If the stream does not start after the first double click, please double click the link again.
- Students using a PC will need Windows Media Player. Most PCs already have Windows Media Player installed. If the Windows Media Audio file will not play, PC users can download
